For my first assignment for Good Beer Hunting, I joined award-winning beer writer Adrian Tierney-Jones on his research trip for his feature on Adnams Brewery. Adnams is British tradition at its finest, and the story covers the history of the 130 year old brewery and their future plans.

These photos were taken during trips to New York City, starting in November 2018. As a novice photographer, I found the experience of exploring the city to be very enlightening, though I feel that I only barely touched on the vast opportunities for photography that New York has to offer.

Hebden Bridge, a small town in West Yorkshire, England, boasts a healthy pub and brewery scene. Hukins Hops is a multi-generation hop farm that has been growing hops in Kent, England, for over 100 years. For this Good Beer Hunting assignment, I photographed the team as they worked a long shift on a hot summer day in September 2023. The hops are picked, dried, and stored before being sent out to breweries. Some of the hops were used to brew 'Green Hop' beers, usually on the same day they were harvested. Words by Fred Garratt-Stanley.
These photos were shot on film during a weekend trip to Iceland in 2022.
In 2018, I took a trip around India and visited a number of cities including Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Agra, and Delhi. During this trip, I was introduced to street photography and it has had a significant impact on my current style. Documenting daily life in these cities was my first experience with this genre of photography.
JW Lees has been brewing Harvest Ale, a Barley Wine, at its brewery in Manchester, England, since 1986. Lacons Brewery embodies British brewing heritage. Founded in Great Yarmouth in 1760, it thrived alongside the local fishing industry. After selling the company in the 1960s, Lacons brewery was closed. However, in 2013, after years of legal wrangling over rights and ownership with its then-owner AB InBev, the brewery was reopened."Under new ownership, Lacons is reviving itself as a modern British brewery focused on cask ales and an ever-expanding range of new beers.

These are some of my street photography shots taken in central London and its surrounding areas since 2018.
This is a collection of sporadic moments from a weekend trip to Porto in the summer of 2019.
Gales Prize Old Ale is now in its third incarnation. Originally brewed in 1923 by Gales Brewery, it has since been brewed at Fuller's Brewery and now Dark Star (brewed at Meantime Brewery, under ownership of Asahi) has reprised the Ale from its slumber. This Good Beer Hunting assignment, written by Martyn Cornell, focuses on the 2023 release and Dark Star head brewer Sven Hartmann.
In the summer of 2022 I travelled to Mount Saint Bernard Abbey in Leicestershire, England. The Abbey is home to the UK's only Trappist brewery, and I was there to photograph the monks and the brewery for a feature in Good Beer Hunting. On the day I arrived, the bottling line was in full swing as the latest batch of Tynt Meadow Trappist Ale was packaged. I was also there to photograph the Abbey itself, and the beautiful grounds that surround it.
Uppers & Downers is a festival featuring creative and tasty collaborations between well-known and emerging craft breweries and coffee roasters. In late 2019, I traveled to Berlin to photograph the inaugural European edition of the event for Good Beer Hunting.
